MaKaRo has already been launched in the 2015/16 school year and is currently supported by teachers Claudine Weber and Danielle Sertznig as coordinators.
But what is the MaKaRo?
MaKaRo stands for "Maacher Kanner Rot", which means a children's council.
Here, topics concerning the school or the town of Grevenmacher are regularly discussed. Together with the coordinators, the children discuss ideas, projects or problems that are close to their hearts and those of their classmates, such as design suggestions for the playground, problems on the way to school, etc.
How can I take part in MaKaRo?
From cycle 2.2 onwards, one representative per class is elected each year, who then represents the interests and needs of his or her classmates on the Children's Council for one school year.
